Tyros, CVP, PSR and PSR S Series: Bass Single Note Pedaling or Droning During Accompaniment.

For arranger keyboards and pianos with the accompaniment feature; CVP Series Clavinovas (CVP203-current), Tyros Series, PSR Series (PSR1000-current), PSR A Series and PSR S Series (PSRS750-current) Arrangers – an external MIDI Controller can be used to remotely trigger the bass note on the unit. When this
feature is engaged accidentally, users will hear the bass pedal the same note regardless of chord being played or drone under the accompaniment / style triggered by the chord being played. Here’s how to adjust it:
1) Press the [FUNCTION] button.
2) Select the “MIDI” function by pressing the corresponding button to the side of the screen.
Note: This will show the MIDI Template options, assigning MIDI Inputs/Outputs based on preset configurations. This is where the “MIDI Pedal” option has been inadvertently selected, causing the droning bass note issue.
3) Select the “All Parts” template by pressing the corresponding button to the side of the screen. This will reassign the triggering of the bass note to come from the unit’s keybed input so your Accompaniment's bass note will follow your performance input.
