Tyros 5, PSRS950, PSRS970: Record and Play Audio Styles in MIDI Song Sequencer
NOTE: Audio styles contain a wave file audio recording that cannot be recorded to the MIDI song sequencer. The way around this is to record the Audio style normally, then set the song sequencer in Sync/Start mode, then press the style Start/Stop button. The MIDI song records style control data (including chords and intros/variations/ending) and will trigger the style in real time.
1) Select an Audio Style to use in the recording.
2) Create a new empty song by pressing the song [STOP] and [REC] buttons simultaneously.
3) Press the song [REC] button to arm song tracks.
4) Press the [ACMP] button to turn style accompaniment on.
5) Record the Style to the Song sequencer.
6) Press the Song [STOP] and [PLAY/PAUSE] buttons simultaneously.
7) Press the Style [START/STOP] button. The Song recording will trigger the Style playback triggering the correct chords and Intro/Variation/Ending changes.
TIP: To quickly prepare the instrument to play back this recording open the matching MIDI song and Audio Style, engage the Song Sync/Start, press the [MEMORY] button (make sure that SONG and STYLE are both checked) then press any of the 8 Registration buttons. When this registration is recalled, it will open the correct song and style and set the song in sync/start mode. All you need to do is make sure the [ACMP] buttons is turned on, then press the STYLE start/stop button to begin playback.
